"I was really impressed by this venue, blend of history and beauty, and the many photo locations on the property! As a refined and thoughtful East Coast wedding photographer, I’m always searching for venues that offer both elegance and ease and The Pearl S. Buck House in Perkasie, PA delivered on every level. I would photograph weddings here a million times over!
The grounds are timeless and beautiful. The getting-ready spaces, tucked privately within the museum, were both spacious and clean as the girls got ready downstairs and the men upstairs. It also allowed for a graceful start to the day without any chance of crossing paths too soon.
One of the most breathtaking moments came as the ceremony began, with the wedding party making their way through the stone breezeway of Pearl Buck’s historic home. It was nothing short of jaw-dropping and a perfect blend of history and romance. Following the ceremony, we captured family portraits in front of the breezeway, cocktail hour on the patio, and the air-conditioned reception inside the museum. It is beyond gorgeous and the gardens are so refined and the flowers and stonework were immaculate. For larger weddings, the option for an elegant tented reception on the grounds is also an option."

"We had a fascinating 1.5-hour tour of Buck's house and office with a volunteer docent. We were the only two people there, so it was essentially a private tour. Everything in the house is Buck's original and it is left just as it was when she died. The beautiful grounds can be explored on your own without a ticket. Highly recommended way to spend a couple of hours."
