What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Pacifica Municipal Pier for its stunning coastal views, excellent fishing opportunities, and the beautiful adjacent Sharp Park Beach and Mori Point trails. The dramatic foggy weather and the chance to see wildlife add to its charm. However, some find the pier's restrooms to be in poor condition, and the aggressive seagulls can be a nuisance for anglers.
"Nice little pier that has unfortunately closed the south part of the pier and the men's room smells horrible. We went to go crabing but we had zero luck. I absolutely do not recommend that bathroom because it has a bunch of flies, vandalized, and smalls horrible. The bathrooms are outside next to the Chit Chat Cafe. The bathroom signs are destroyed, so I will tell you which is which. Men's (Left), Women's (Right). I would not recommend the pier for crabing since there are small and female crabs that only pop up during the tide."

"This is a good spot to fish if you don't mind bad weather sometimes as it can be foggy and cold and windy in the mornings and sometimes drizzly. The seagulls are like mosquitoes, you have to keep your eye on your bait as you're putting it on the hooks because the seagulls will swoop down and take it. Some days of fishing is good depending on what time of year it is and the weather and Tide conditions. Other times it's not good at all with nobody catching any fish other than a few smelt. The bathrooms are horrible period bring your own toilet paper. There are no partitions between euros in the men's room which makes it very uncomfortable as you're almost shoulder to shoulder what's a guy beside you. I've seen the toilet stall, I will say sprayed with fecal matter. The cleaning lady I will say does an amazing job and is underpaid. I wish I had some money to tip her on the days that I see her. The Chit Chat Cafe is a great place to get yourself some warm coffee, homemade snacks and sandwiches. They have a barbecue tri-tip sandwich Fresh Off The Grill. They also sell some fishing gear like sinkers, bait and Siddiqui rigs for catching the bait fish. There is a local bait store a few blocks up but they're way over priced."
