Previously, you could negotiate prices, and each boat offered slightly different rates. Now, all the prices are the same and more expensive.
As long as the crabs are alive, there’s not much difference in taste or quantity whether you buy them from the market or the boats. With such high prices, I don’t see a reason to come all the way here to buy them.
Rock crabs are said to be affordable, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for Dungeness crabs."
