What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Museum of East Alabama for its extensive collection of historical items, free admission, and friendly, dedicated volunteers. While some exhibits could benefit from more detailed labeling, the overall experience is highly recommended for its educational value and glimpse into regional heritage.
"There is a tremendous amount of wonderful historical items here, and everything seems to be laid out where I'm guessing the time periods are similar. The staff is also very friendly and the museum is very clean and the air conditioner works wonderfully. They should also be noted that entrance is free and there is plenty of free parking nearby.
My only small complaint is a lot of these items. Just don't have a description so I would be looking at something and I'm just not too sure what it is or what it's historical significance is or was. I think that if more of these items were labeled and had a small history or description of what they are, that would be incredibly helpful."
