What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Capitol District is a vibrant downtown entertainment hub with a lively mix of bars, restaurants, and event spaces. Visitors praise the diverse nightlife, especially venues like Annie's Pub, and the convenience for attending CHI Health Center events. However, parking can be a significant challenge, and some find the district quiet on non-event nights.
"Love the fact that if you go into Annie's pub and pay a cover, you get access to the bar and dance floors upstairs too! Makes it worth the fee. Downstairs music was a mix of 90s hits and early 2000s and the DJ was slapping with bangers! Upstairs was a country bar with early Taylor Swift songs, Tim McGraw and line dances and the back upstairs area was a interesting mix that was hard to dance to but overall good. The bartenders in all 3 locations were wonderful and I love that they give out free water bottles to keep people hydrated. Great spot for dancing and hanging out with a group of friends!"

"Visited this section of Omaha during a road trip through the city. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and other attractions to visit in this area. It looks like it is well setup to host special events and concerts. It is easy to walk around this district and go to the different places it has available or other areas in the city as well. It is close to some other attractions Omaha has to offer. If you are living in the area, they also have apartments and condos in the area although I cannot comment on the pricing or availability of the units.
I deducted a star because it does not seem like much parking is a available for what seems like a popular place. We were able to find free parking but there wasn't much and it wasn't properly marked, a citizen told us there is no charge on the weekend. Outside of that, no complaints about what this place offers."

Located in the heart of downtown, right next to CHI Health Center and within walking distance of the Old Market, this area is a hotspot for both locals and visitors.
One of its standout features is the plaza, a lively open-air space that transforms throughout the year—hosting live performances, festivals, and even an ice rink in the winter. The district boasts a variety of restaurants and bars, making it a great spot for everything from casual happy hours to late-night drinks.
