"05/13/23: I had a great opportunity to learn about the washing state’s history as well as understand how bills are passed in the legislative building. Highly recommend this awesome place for educational purposes"

"Not super excited about the fence around the building and parked police cars patrolling. But otherwise a beautiful place."

"There's a lot of things about the Governor's all cuts budget except for his $100M to cops with the GOP that will hurt a lot of folks. But I think what really brought it home was hearing he is slashing $$ to food banks. And having all that move forward while the Governor has a weekend of excess for his Birthday party with powerfuls, or lobbyists and whom others really made me realize our new Governor is not a roll his sleeves up type like former Governor Inslee. I remember when Gov Inslee came during the wild fires to canvass with on the ground campaign managers and how he hosted young people at his office to get their input on incarceration. It's really sad that the POTUS issues will cover for the lack of care and creative effort to increase state revenues by the Governor. And in reality, what is being described as centrist is likely that beyond hiring cops, he does have much forward thinking to improve our safety. But at the very least, donate your food to the food banks you're about to leave bereft rather than the excess of weekend parties for yourself as your cuts leave families hungry. 😔"
