Reviews Summary
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is a beloved waterpark with a mix of thrilling rides and relaxing river floats, powered by natural spring water. While many praise the fun attractions and the ability to bring coolers, some guests have expressed disappointment with the dated resort accommodations, parking issues, and long wait times during peak periods.
"Finally, a review of the 2 bedroom queen suite at the Bahn! Before we booked I looked everywhere for good pics of the room, didn’t exist…until now! We rented a 2 bedroom queen suite with sofa bed at the bahn, old portion, for 1 night this passed weekend. Checked in at 10pm easy, got bands for the park next day, easy. The room was a little crooked(literally in the kitchen we laid a marker and it rolled pretty good, lol.) and had a little smell, but to be expected somewhat in a room that old. If it was more than 1 night I may have gotten another room though, hard to look at because it looks and is crooked. Having the park right off the back porch of the room was cool! Check out at 11 was super easy. The park, very fun, gets busy quick. When you stay at the resort you can opt/pay for early access, do it, worth it. Hit the top 2-3 rides asap, and expect lines the rest of the time, wasn’t too bad at end of season though. Cashless park, but you can put cash on a prepaid card inside the park, or use your credit card. No atms in the park. Small locker, $20 for the day, no brainer. Hope this helps, here’s some room pics!"

"We were really disappointed with our stay. The AC unit couldn’t keep up with the heat, and despite trying multiple times, we couldn’t get in touch with anyone for help. When you book, you’re asked to enter the number of guests—we had 8—and the listing says it accommodates that many. But one of the sleeping arrangements is a very old, uncomfortable futon that honestly shouldn’t count as a bed and everything smells musty. I just never imagined a place calling itself a “resort” would be like this. Definitely not what we expected.
I’ve included a few pictures just to show how dated and poorly maintained things are. I’m usually very careful about reading reviews and have never ended up in a place like this (especially painful with the price tag that should have indicated a nice resort). Hoping this helps someone else avoid the same mistake. We are not certain we will stay our second night"

"Great Waterpark. Cashless...so make sure you have money on your card. Very busy!
If you have the money to spare. Buy a flash pass so you can get to enjoy more water rides. Wait times/lines are very long. It is better to buy tickets online. I encourage you to bring a water case for your phone. It's better to take your own pictures through the parks than buying the unlimited picture package. I feel like it was not worth the 19.99 I paid. You would have to find exactly where the people are to take the picture. And they are at certain places at certain times. That was my only disappointment. I thought they would get your moment on the slides. And I had to ask where they would be.
You can bring your coolers, which is a great thing."
