"This was on my bucket list to Dance at Gruene Hall. It’s not a flat dance floor since it is exposed to temperature changes and the climate, but it is a smooth dance floor from the millions of boots sliding over it. These days It’s actually more of a concert venue people still dance here. It’s a fun place to listen to the music and scooter boot. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders are pretty funny. Leave plenty of time to explore the town around the dance hall and some of the fabulous dining experiences."

"Gruene Hall provides the quintessential Texas experience, a quaint venue with big names at a reasonable price. Sixpence None The Richer is a band I always wanted to see live but hadn’t had the opportunity. I heard rumors of mythical performances at great places like this all over Texas, and finally experienced it for myself. I would visit for the local bands as much as the names. The reviews about the a/c are true, but heat is mitigated by water spritzing fans outside. Gruene Hall is surrounded by a lovely, walkable town, with great galleries, shops and B&B’s as well."

"Such a cool place to visit. This place oozes honky tonk charm. I just wish they had more fans! It is so hot in there! Would definitely spend more time in there if it wasn't like sitting in a microwave!"
