Fischer Park is another one with a splash pad (til Oct 31st) that’s worth the drive, and to double the fun, you can add on a visit to McKenna Museum, one of our absolute faves!! The park also has a nature discovery center with a Dino dig, as well as trails for walking or biking. The bathrooms are decent and big enough to change kids after water play. Also, there’s a cafe at the museum for lunch. T...

Reviews Summary

Fischer Park is widely praised for its excellent facilities, including well-maintained playgrounds and a popular splash pad, making it a favorite for families. Visitors appreciate the scenic trails, clean restrooms, and beautiful views from the hilltop. However, some guests have reported car break-ins, advising others to secure their valuables.

"Well maintained park. Multiple play areas for various ages. Splash pad is great! Unfortunately some life tried to break into our car so make sure and lock up your valuables!"

Amanda Cazort

"Love Fischer park. My daughter likes to play in the sand pit and the playground. I love to take walks around the hiking trail that goes around the little lake. We haven't played at the splash pad yet, but it looks really cool."

Ryan Switzer

"They did a wonderful job with this park! Perfectly located on the east side of New Braunfels, with an elevated view of the city, and the hill country in the background. Great facilities, clean bathrooms, splash area for the kids, lots of shade. Large, paved walkways and trails. And beautifully landscaped with indigenous plant and tree species in abundance! Multiple entrances. There is also a nature center located within the park. All of this built around a large water tank/pond. I used to fish this tank when I was young, long before it was transformed into this nice oasis on the edge of town."
