"The story of this place should be made into a movie! What an incredible story, a legacy refound. Somethings are just meant to be. My tour guide was one of the best that I have had. She did an amazing job of explaining everything and her passion for not only the company, but the whiskey truly comes through with everything she had to say. Definitely do the tour and tasting. It is worth the drive. Terese was phenomenal for knowledge very much admire. The food was fantastic. The service and the people were all top-notch. They could definitely use a bit more parking in the area. I got a hat in the gift shop. Also that I love and a zip up hoodie jacket so many things to pick from."

"We stopped by to try their whiskey and weren’t disappointed. Instead of a tour we opted to explore the gift shop which has a wall full of info about the brothers and history of the distillery, and sat at the restaurant bar. We ordered both flights, regular and cask, and I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the rye (it’s a lower proportion) because I usually do not. I also surprisingly liked the gin cask instead of sherry cask.
We shared the spinach artichoke dip with toasted pita bread (delicious) and poutine (super salty but flavorful), and I loved the frozen old fashioned. People nearby ordered the pink pony club drink pitcher which serves 4-6 and it was pretty to look at, haha.
Overall I’d definitely come back for the restaurant as well because their menu is unique and they have a fun twist on whiskey-infused flavors."

"I love Nelson Brothers Whisky.
So I was excited to visit the distillery. It's on the tour circuit so it was very busy and tours were running all day. So I skipped the distillery tour with Bachelorette Party... and just pulled up a seat at the bar.
This is a very tourist friendly spot. I was surprised to see as many minors here that were here. Had a family of 4 pull up and sit next to me at the bar... not what I was expecting.
So the food and bar menu comes off a bit shi shi and pretentious- BUT its all very good. The wings were awesome as was the burger- Whisky on the rocks or the frozen old fashioned... all exceeded my expectations.
Odd was that not all of the Whisky being served.... was available for purchase in their store.
Ive been a fan of this distillery ever since trying Belle Meade years ago and was thrilled to visit the mothership- I had just wished for something a little seedier- but in the end the food always wins."
