Reviews Summary
Tulocay Cemetery is praised for its serene atmosphere, compassionate staff, and beautiful facilities for services and receptions. However, some visitors have encountered significant administrative challenges, particularly regarding authorization for cremation and burial, leading to stressful experiences.
"Tulocay Cemetery in Napa provided a truly serene and supportive setting for my brother's memorial. In a time of profound grief, Robert's compassionate and efficient assistance was invaluable. He organized the service within a week, demonstrating both professionalism and genuine care.
The chapel and reception area were beautifully appointed, offering a peaceful and elegant space for our family and friends to gather. The reception, catered by Brie Grazing Boards, was thoughtfully arranged, with a lovely charcuterie and sandwich buffet that comfortably accommodated our 100 guests. The ability to personalize the space with our own playlist and a video tribute allowed us to truly celebrate my brother's life in a meaningful way.
With sincere appreciation,
Lisa, Stella, and families"

"Horrible experience dealing with them. We had a loved one who passed at Queen of the Valley. She had been battling Cancer for over 20 years and when she past she was sent here afterwards as Napa Hospital doesnt jave a morgue. It was less than e hours after her passing that my family recvd a call to let us know that they would not recognize us to cremate and bury her. That although we were her care providers, signed orders with Dr at the hospital for advanced healthcare and for end of life etc.. they would not allow us to cremate and bury her as the paperwork we had that the hospital honored wasn't what they wanted to see and therefore would not honor that we were her guardians. It was risky for them and their license. (The hospital was ok but your not. I would think the hospital has more liability then a burial service could even have). The County now tell us we have to wait over 30days before they can let us know if we have any rights to put her to rest as they are going to search for next of kin of this 65 yr old woman in hopes they find someone and ask others if they want possession of her or to take over her burial or want to agree to allow us to bury her. If they deny wanting her then we can pay and have her cremated. Then we were told as she was a Sonoma County resident that as they were Napa County Guardians we should see about moving her body here for the 30 days under Sonoma Guardian. It is beyond ridiculous. Who has the strength to do this after a long battle and watching someones passing? To call and help them figure out their own process. When we asked point blank what happens, they would not give a straight answer. The words used were, it's all case by case. I said do you at least recognize her wish for cremation and give her a burial and she repeated it's all case by case. That's is beyond egregious to not honor someone's last will andtestament, which she had prepared on her death bed with witnesses.
BEWARE !!! DO NOT ALLOW QUEEN TO SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Have a plan and go anywhere else. This has been an awful experience to deal with immediately after such a loss. Horrible bed side manner. We dealt with Ribert Lee and Britt."
