Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Chippewa River Water Trail's natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and dog-friendly atmosphere. The paved and dirt trails offer pleasant walks along the river, and the opportunity for fossil hunting adds a unique element of discovery. Some wish for more loop trails, but the overall consensus is a highly enjoyable and scenic natural escape.

"A very beautiful park next to the Chippewa River. The trails are great as they go along the river. They welcome leashed dogs and my dog loved the smells here. My only issue is the trails don't circle around. So you walk to the end of the trail then have to turn around and retrace your path back to the beginning. It is all paved though. If they could only figure out how to finish the loop, it would be top notch.

Overall even with the one way trail, it's still a 5 star review! Would I return? Absolutely."

"Was in the area for a work trip and decided to check out the park to look for fossils by the riverside. I found some and so much more. The park was gorgeous and teaming with wildlife. I saw a snake in the river, minnows, clams, crawfish, snails, numerous frogs, chipmunks, and, various birds. I found a few small crinoid and rugosa fossils on the river edge. Definitely come here if you want a great place to reconnect with nature."
