Reviews Summary
Visitors find Moonville Tunnel to be a fascinating historical site with a unique atmosphere, often enhanced by its graffiti art and surrounding natural beauty. While some are drawn by its haunted reputation, others appreciate the easy hiking trails and the remnants of a bygone era. GPS navigation can be a minor challenge, and some trails may have bridge closures.
"First, your GPS will say you’re there but you need to keep going until you get to the parking lot…if you haven’t crossed a bridge yet you aren’t there lol. We love taking the kids to the Moonville Tunnel trail, it’s easy to walk and all of the tunnel and bridges make it a neat walk. The graffiti in the tunnel is really neat and seems to have changed since we’ve started going there. There’s typically not a lot of people there so if you have kids that like to make noise this is the place to go. My one and only gripe…we haven’t seen/heard any ghosts in the tunnel ha ha."

"2025. It’s great but two bridges were out so it’s best to start at the parking next to the tunnel. It’s a great first path that has scenic walls all the way through to the next tunnel."
Chris Mich
"Loved it! But GPS will tell you that you have arrived when you really haven't. You still have about three quarters of a mile before you get to the parking lot and then it's down the walking trail that comes off the parking lot."
