"Had such a great experience gem sifting here! I had done a lot of research on the various gem mining spots and settled on this one because it had so many options and their website helped me to get a feel for how they did things here. We were a group of 4 adults and were coming from Kannapolis and we wanted a relaxed day to unplug; so while the drive was 2 hours for us, it added to the charm of the day. And we wanted a lowkey vibe to work at our pace. The team at Lucky Strike was so helpful, friendly and accommodating - they provide all of the help you want, but they also respect your space and don’t hover. We came on a weekday and around 2pm and had the place to ourselves. We stayed for about 2 1/2 hours and went through 1 misc bucket ($20) and one specialty bucket ($25). If you go w a specialty bucket, they allow you to request what gems you’d like to find in it. All of the gem buckets are 4 gallons. If you want to pan for gold, those looked like 2 gallon. We wanted to work on our gem buckets at the rinsing tables they have set up; but you can pan for gold down at the river, if you want. Their website provides great details on all the options. We found a great variety of gems in both buckets and are excited to get them polished. There are bathrooms a little walk down from the diner and office - they are so clean and well stocked. And the rinsing stations are right next to the diner, so if you want to enjoy the menu, you can do that too. They take credit cards. We would highly recommend spending some time here! 👌"

"What an amazing experience! You can choose if you want to sift for gold or gems. We did both and found a lot of beautiful colorful gems and some very clear crystals! The staff was so kind and she really knew her stuff! They also have a gift shop, bathrooms, and restaurant. Highly recommend!"
