"My daughter is attending summer school and moved in the domitory today. Paied class ruition and domitory fee, but they were not prepared to receive students. The dormitory is not cleaned at all, and the place to unload the stuff from the car is blocked. So I tried to unload the stuff at the near parking lot, and a school police tagetted me, kept following me, and issued a violation ticket. His attitude is so rude, and I will complain things happened to me and my daughter today to the management of school. They are always deligent to collect money by sending emails from the parents, but provide no services. It's the worst school ever. I really regret having my daughter study this school."

The Iconic Malibu Campus
Many social media posts highlight the breathtaking ocean vistas, with students frequently sharing photos and videos of sunsets from campus. The proximity to Malibu beaches also means that spontaneous trips to the coast after class are a common occurrence for students. This unique blend of academic rigor and coastal lifestyle is a defining characteristic of the Pepperdine experience.
However, the beauty of the campus also comes with its own set of challenges. The location can mean higher living costs, and the coastal weather, while often pleasant, can also bring intense heat during summer months, requiring students to adapt.
Student Life and Community
The university is also known for its active student body, with numerous clubs, organizations, and events catering to diverse interests. From academic societies to recreational activities, students have ample opportunities to get involved and build connections. The 'Go Waves!' spirit is evident, reflecting a shared enthusiasm for the university and its community.
While the community aspect is often praised, some reviews suggest that administrative responsiveness and preparedness can sometimes fall short, particularly during busy periods like student move-in. Navigating these aspects of student life requires proactive communication and awareness of university procedures.
Navigating Challenges: Wildfires and Safety
These incidents highlight the importance of preparedness and the university's emergency response protocols. While the university strives to ensure student safety, the reality of living in a fire-prone region means that such events can occur. The community often rallies together during these crises, showcasing resilience and mutual support.
Beyond natural disasters, the university has also faced tragic incidents. In one notable event, four Pepperdine students were killed in a car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway. These events underscore the importance of safety awareness for all members of the university community, both on and off campus.
