"Good spot for bird watching over the lagoon. Also can walk southward on the sand toward Malibu pier. Follow us on instagram for more @gemislist"

"Malibu Lagoon State Beach is one of my favorite places to film Brown Pelicans. You can spot them here and during breeding season you get to see their breeding colors. Its pretty cool. Its a place I have visited many times and talked about it on my youtube channel. I highly recommend it. If you love to surf, it is also popular with surfers. They are fun to watch. I would suggest going through the back lagoon parking and walking to the beach. You will encounter some amazing birds like Cormorants and if you are lucky, the resident Osprey. If you like Seagulls you'll find a variety chilling on the beach as well as crows. It can be a hit or miss in terms on when it is busy but I especially like it when it is not. It allows me watch the wildlife peacefully."

Toni Payne

"Easy, cool beach to access. $8 parking. A great place to watch the surfers all day and/or partake. Lots of people laying out. Would not recommend for those looking to swim with children just because the waves are rough and all the surfers."
