What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Lumpy Ridge for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the unique rock formations and the rewarding hike to Gem Lake. While the trail is considered intermediate with uphill climbs and rocky terrain, the views are consistently described as well worth the effort. Some find the climbing routes challenging but excellent.
"This was a trail we hit at the end of our time in Estes Park, Colorado. We happened to go pick up some goods and someone at the store asked if we had done it yet. We hadn’t, so we decided to. He also said his 5 year old had done it and it was easy lololol.
Well, friends… lolol… not only is that an exceptional five year old, while shorter in distance, it is a solid hike. A lot of it uphill. I would say it’s def intermediate. Beautiful scenery, well worth it to me, but take your time because you go straight up for most of the hike.
Plenty of places to stop along the way and rest, but walking sticks are helpful especially for the descent. Also prepare for a slightly rockier terrain. The gem lake side is… ahhhhhhhhhh. 😍. Enjoy!!"
