What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Paul Revere Capture Site an interesting historical stop, particularly for understanding the full story of his ride. The informative markers and the connection to the Battle Road Trail are appreciated. However, some note the limited amenities, such as lack of shade and restrooms, and the unpaved parking lot can be a drawback for accessibility.
"We visited on a Friday morning in mid-June 2025.
We stopped by here first before the visitor center open. There were 2 other cars in the parking lot but it's a long trail so you can stop anywhere and just hike it. This particular spot is probably not the best because there are many facilities and there is very little shade. the lot was crushed gravel and compacted dirt. Not the best for a wheel chair unless you have nice thick tires. That goes for strollers as well.
It's a short walk from the parking lot to the actual site. The site is done very well with lots of informative kiosks/signs. Also the stone wall and plaques. We were able to get some photos with no one else around at this time in the morning.
it was an interesting stop for a one time visit. Not sure if we would stop by again. We would do the trail again but probably not really stop at the site unless you wanted to take a quick break. The walls were a good height to sit on but like I said before the lack of shade. We also did not see any bathroom here or in the parking lot."

"Great little place to walk around. The trail also shows you other historical sites and things that have happened in the area. Occasionally they do do live reenactments. Also there is a visitor center a short distance away. Highly recommend if you're a Massachusetts to go to one of these nice little hidden gems that a lot of people don't know about."

"This was fascinating to visit because I had never been taught that he was captured. It's a beautiful spot, especially in autumn, but not much to see. The parking was closed due to the government shutdown, but there was space on the side of the road."
