"Stopped by Kirkwood to get in an autumn hike. While the drive from Sacramento was both beautiful and fun, it unfortunately rained the whole duration of our visit to Kirkwood. With that being said, we were only able to get 40 to 45 minutes of hiking in sticking mainly to the Snowkirk trail out and back.
As we made our way across the trail I did notice that the terrain at the top of the mountain off the Wall lift looks fantastic for expert level skiers. While there isn't much of a base village or things to do after a day of hiking or skiing, we would still love to ski here too someday, the terrain looks outstanding!"
