What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Powell Gardens for its beautiful plant life, vibrant seasonal exhibits like dinosaurs and butterflies, and family-friendly attractions. The peaceful atmosphere, especially around the chapel and lily pond, is also a major draw. While some note the number of butterflies can vary, the overall experience is described as relaxing, engaging, and well worth the visit for all ages.
"I always enjoy visiting here during the butterfly festival. I didn't see as many this time, but they were very active. One landed on my friend's yellow top (a good color to wear). The flowers are so vivid. This is the first time I saw the lily pond, WOW! The flowers were in full bloom in July, they seem to love the hot sun. I recommend riding on the a/c filled bus when you can, very friendly and feels nice in the Summer. The chapel is so special, best when you have it to yourselves or when everyone sits quiet, you can feel the peacefulness. Slow your pace while here to enjoy all the little things."

"Beautiful plant life, fresh air, butterflies, and currently, dinosaurs! Make it a point to picnic there too. It was delightful, a definite plan for our family from now until the next ice age.
In fall they offer some cool seasonal stuff too. We plan to go. If it's half the experience summer was, it's time we'll spent.
Be prepared to walk, but take your time. You won't even realize the day has been well spent by the time you're finished."
