"Beautiful home turned into an orphanage. The tour was an hour with lots of information about the house, the sisters that took it over and turned it into an orphanage, and the immigrants that lived in the area. Great place to check out to better understand KCs history starting in the late 1800s and vital role that immigrants played. House was beautiful and well kept. The tour was an hour and we purchased tickets in advance which was reasonably priced. In the tour there were 7 people total which seemed comfortable size of a group given some of the rooms and hallways are tight/smaller. The tour guides are all volunteers and you can tell they deeply care for the property, history, and region. Highly recommend!"
