What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the UNF Nature Trails for their natural beauty, well-maintained paths, and accessibility, especially the Red Maple Boardwalk. It's a peaceful escape within the city, ideal for walks, runs, and wildlife spotting. Some note the occasional highway noise and slippery boardwalks, but overall, it's a highly recommended spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
"A well groomed trail system. Single path and plenty of other people on the trails including runners but everyone was courteous. We did 2 laps and did all the in-between and got almost 8 miles. The lake is pretty amd there isbplwnty of pretty bits of scenery but you can hear the cars from the highway so you dont get that "in the woods" feeling. And zero elevation, just flat. 56 feet total ascent. Some of the older boardwalks are very slippery and in need of a pressure wash. The newer decking is fantastic, although still a bit slippery if you're not sure what you're stepping on. Plenty of people around seemingly a safe space for a walk."

"We recently visited this trail and were genuinely impressed. The entire area is packed with greenery — tall trees, peaceful surroundings, and a sense of calm you don’t often find in the city. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel connected to nature.
The trails are easy to follow and offer a mix of scenic paths, making it great for both casual walks and light hikes. Amazing."

"This was a lovely trail and just what I needed. I recharge in nature. The lake and the view of the lake is awesome from this trail. Plenty of spins for POGO 😆 people were fishing from the bridge. There is a walkway on some sections and ground for the remainder."
