They praise the well-kept trails, the unique wetland ecosystem with informative signage, and the surprising discovery of stone ruins and a waterfall. While access can be slightly confusing, the overall experience is highly rewarding for nature lovers and families.
"Interesting trails, in what is largely a wetlands fen. There are quite a few "you are here" map signs, so even without GPS you could probably avoid getting too lost. I encountered few mosquitoes in the warmer parts of the year, even in shade and around water."
Mark Petrison
"Very interesting site. I enjoyed how they have signs explaining the ecosystem and landscape all the way on the trail. It's kids friendly. They also have a covered outdoor classroom if you need to take a break. The site was well kept. However coming by car the access of the trail wasn't well indicated. The direct access gate indicated by the GPS was closed we had to go park on the Marian university parking lot and access the trail by the stairs."
Martine Janvier
"This. Place was by far my favorite place that I've ever visited. The paths were well kept, the park itself was well kept, and it was enough foliage to block out the surrounding city. The bridges and stone buildings were pretty amazing as well(basically ruins). Never expected to see a waterfall in Indiana, let alone inside Indianapolis. I had a wonderful time going off trail and along the creek.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'm going back to see the spring decor this year when everything grows back."
