What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Nebraska Prairie Museum as a hidden gem, overflowing with diverse and fascinating exhibits that can easily fill hours of exploration. The free admission and unique RV overnight option are highly appreciated, though donations are strongly encouraged to support this community treasure. Some may find the sheer volume of items overwhelming, but the unique historical narratives, especially the WWII POW camp, leave a lasting impression.
"Wow, I can't say enough about Nebraska Prairie Museum without using a thousand words and a hundred pictures. They let us stay overnight (with a reservation) in our RV. I went in for an hour before they closed (it's free admittance) and barely got through a section. When back for almost three hours the next morning and still did not see everything. Parts will make you laugh and some may make you tear up, especially for veterans in the military section. This is hands down a must stop and see for a day. Did you know there was a WWII POW camp in Nebraska, I didn't. So much to see and so much to learn. Hopefully, with enough donations and continued interest this will be available for generations to come. It deserves your time and contribution."
