What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Peck Lake Park is praised for its beautiful mangrove boardwalk and abundant wildlife, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate its dog-friendly nature and scenic waterfront views. However, concerns have been raised about littering in the lake, detracting from the natural beauty.
"Nice short walk out to the water. There were only a couple of people there when I went, so fairly quiet. It was a great stop on my way home.
There is a large parking area. For anyone with mobility concerns; at the end of the boardwalk, it changes briefly to sand and then back to the boardwalk. There is a fair amount of litter washed into the mangroves but the one way to get to them to pick it up would be by walking under the deck and wading through the water, which I was not equipped to do on my visit. Hopefully there is more attention on cleaning that up and that boaters will stop littering."

"Nice little park with a boardwalk through mangroves to Peck Lake where there's a deck with a covered seating area. There are steps down to a tiny beach where you could drop a paddle board or kayak into the water. Clean restrooms, ample parking and dog friendly. The low stars are to draw attention to the extreme disrespect being shown by those using Peck Lake as their personal trash can while boating and jet skiing. All the garbage they are throwing into the lake is washing into the mangroves. You can see otters, egrets, osprey, raccoons, dolphins, sea turtles and manatees here. It is extremely disturbing to see what human beings are doing to this beautiful area. I often take this walk with my dogs and have also recently noticed people ignoring the low speed requirements for the lake - blasting by on boats and jet skis. There are manatees and sea turtles and dolphins in that water.
I've posted photos of trash in the mangroves today. Mostly beer cans. Every red arrow is a piece of trash.
These people are harming the area and I hope the appropriate authorities take note."
