"We rented a 4x4 from Island Express Ferry Services for a half day and had a great time. We were able to see much more of the island than we have in the past. We were treated to a rainbow, and caught a glimpse of the horses."
Danny Cheek
"We live very close to Cape Lookout and go frequently in our boat. The fishing is phenomenal and the wild horses are a bonus sight. We often see sea turtles and dolphins. The water is fairly shallow and the waves are very small so it's perfect for swimming and shelling."
Virginia Hicks Tate
"We went to shackleford Banks and walked around the island, got to see the wild horses and then took the ferry to Cape lookout to see the lighthouse. The lighthouse is currently closed for renovations. So we weren't able to climb the stairs inside of it, but the little museum, in the downstairs portion of the lighthouse keepers, was full of awesome information and historic items. We had a great time here. Definitely check it out!"
