During my visit to Glacier National Park, I was fortunate enough to snag a night at the Many Glacier Hotel — Glacier National Park’s most iconic lodge, built in 1915 with dreamy Swiss chalet vibes. Nestled on Swiftcurrent Lake with jaw-dropping views of Grinnell Point, it’s steps from the park’s best and most famous hikes (Iceberg, Cracker, Grinnell) and full of historic charm. Reviews Summary

Gunsight Lake is lauded for its breathtaking alpine beauty and the rewarding challenge of the Gunsight Lake Trail. Visitors appreciate the stunning mountain backdrops and the clear, blue water, though it's noted to be very cold. The trail's length and potential for wildlife encounters are significant considerations, and backcountry camping requires advance booking.

"Beautiful lake with backcountry camping spots that must be reserved. This lake is pretty cold, I could only stay in for a few minutes when it was 75* outside in August.
I posted a picture of a trail sign with the distances from the lake.
The lake has very little rocky beach area. It can only accommodate about 12 people.
There were some flys that bite and mosquitoes that were a bit annoying.
There are 2 enclosed toilets in the camp area and a pole to hang bear bags."
