I’ve stated before that Blowing Rock is in my top 3 favorite places in North Carolina. It’s Hallmark movie perfection all year long but truly COMES ALIVE in the fall. Cobblestone alleyways, pumpkins and apples, gorgeous leaves, coffee shops and bakeries… Plan a visit. They need your tourism (but be respectful and shop local!). 🍁 Let me know if y’all want me to share a great itinerary for things t...

Green Knob Trail happens to be one of my favorite hidden gems to hike in the High Country. Grab the trailhead at Sims Pond prior to Price Lake. The loop takes you under the Parkway, through the woods, cattle filled fields and down a steep rugged hill. Perfect for a two hr hike. What Travellers Say

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Green Knob Trail for its beautiful, tucked-away mountain feel and unique scenery, including meadows and forests. However, some find the trail challenging due to overgrowth in summer and steep, obstacle-filled sections, making it less suitable for those with anxiety in tight or overgrown spaces. Reddit

"This trail was beautiful of course but if you get anxious in small or narrow places this might not be the trail for you. It was summer when my family and I went on it and it was very grown up around the trail for too long and we ended up turning around about half way. Also there’s a lot of climbing under and over things, so just a heads up."
