What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bittersweet Park is praised for its beautiful lake, relaxing walking trails, and family-friendly playground. Visitors enjoy the natural scenery and birdwatching opportunities. However, some note inconsistent restroom availability and the removal of mature shade trees.
"Gorgeous park with big lake and nice trail around lake. Many red winged black birds, some geese, I saw a big white bird on the lake with a huge yellow beak and a hawk in a tree. The playground equipment for children to play is very nice and the covered picnic tables are very nice. They even have barbecue grills beside pavilions and two basketball courts. Restrooms have a sign that says they open 05/02/2022."

"Great smaller park! It has a nice lake in the middle-ish with a good walking trail around it, there’s both the sidewalk and a dirt trail. The lake was mostly frozen this time of year, but it was nice spot to run around. There are bathrooms near the picnic tables & playground but they were locked when I was there. Found a porta potty in the parking lot that was open and relatively clean."

"I love the park and taking a walk around the lake. However it's a very popular park and there's no restrooms year round. Seen multiple people taking a dump, which I understand if you cat hold it. They also just cut down the 2 biggest shade trees in the park.. The park could also use some exercise equipment for adults like pull-up bars and work out stations..."
