What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Glenmere Park is widely praised for its peaceful atmosphere, abundant shade trees, and beautiful pond teeming with wildlife. Visitors enjoy the scenic walking trails, the playground, and the picturesque spots for photography and events. Some minor drawbacks include inconsistent restroom amenities and the lack of a water fountain.
"I spend a lot of time here. It's peaceful. Great place to walk and sit while feeding squirrels. There's a pond to fish and watch the ducks and geese.
I see people getting married there in and taking prom pictures on the picturesque bridge over the creek."
Amanda Woodward
"One of our favorite parks in the area! We were specifically looking for a park with plenty of shade trees and a nice view, and this one is perfect! There are a couple of sidewalk paths to take in a figure-8 or racetrack loop.
Tons of people frequent this park on their lunch breaks (evident by their scrubs and uniforms), some to walk, to fish, and to have a serene lunch on a bench, picnic table, or blanket. There are also tons of people that park vehicles alongside the road that goes around for various reasons (Lyft / Uber / DoorDash drivers waiting for calls, eating meals, smoking bud, etc).
This is a very well used park. Have seen photographers with models, Prom Photos, Quincanera photos / practice, families at the playground (which is a good little size, shown in photos), people using hammocks, and bunches of people walking dogs (on leashes, there are only a few doggie poop bag dispensers, but abundant trash cans all around the loop).
There are countless wildlife: geese, squirrels, rabbits, crows, robins, blue jays, turtles, several water fowl I couldn't identify, and saw one eagle get chased off by a lot of black birds.
Beneath the big concrete pavilion are restrooms with 2 stalls each, however the water wasn't running in the women's room (although it was in the men's room), and it can be hit or miss if there will be toilet paper in every stall. The biggest thing that is needed here is a water fountain (with bonus points if there were one for dogs as well), then it would want for nothing!"

"I love all the shady trees and beautiful flowers and to see the geese along with the other animals. The playground is nice for little kids too. A beautiful white stone pavilion as well!"
