Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Boyden Cavern for its stunning geological formations and knowledgeable guides, making it a highly recommended stop in Kings Canyon. While the steep entrance path is a notable challenge, the unique 'wild exit' and the overall educational experience make it a worthwhile adventure for most.
"My friends and I did the tour on Sunday 10/5 and had a great time! We were disappointed to see that crystal cave wouldn’t be open during our visit to sequoia and kings canyon, but this was so cool that we didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything! Morgan was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every single question asked during the tour. She was also very friendly even with our tour being at the end of the day when I’m sure she was tired. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend it to everyone visiting the parks!"

"Fun experience and worth the time and money spent on our journey into kings canyon. Highlight of the tour was going out the wild exit at our own pace. highly recommend if you are in that neck of the woods to stop in."

"We had a great experience at the caverns - we did the flashlight tour where you explore the caverns with all the internal lighting off and headlamps on your helmet. It was a really fun and educational experience, and our tour group spanned all ages from kids to older adults.
I would advise that the path up to the cavern entrance is extremely steep and I'm not sure if there's any other route for those with disabilities, so maybe call ahead if you're not able to walk a very steep ramp up a pretty long way. Even wheelchair users with assistance would struggle quite a lot to get up there, I think.
The cave itself is pretty navigable as long as you're watching your feet and head, and the headlamps provided plenty of light to be able to see just fine.
Our tour guide Morgan was very charismatic and friendly and made sure that everyone was having a fun time and learning a lot, and it was clear that she was enjoying herself too, which is much appreciated. The tour lasted a little over an hour I think, which felt like just about the perfect amount of time.
Lots of fun facts to be learned in this little cavern, I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you find the time!"
