"We had a lovely time visiting the GP National Monument in early June. Karen was amazing in the heritage center. She engaged our kids and later swore them in as junior rangers. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the fur trade and North West Company Depot. We also had fun walking and exploring outside the wall on the shore. It's a must see when visiting the North Shore!"

"We visited Grand Portage With 6 adults and 5 kiddos. Our 3 youngest kiddos were so wonderfully greeted by volunteer Karen who introduced them to the Junior Ranger program. Her enthusiasm and warm welcome were exemplary and are what national parks are all about. Our girls were excited to complete all of the items in the workbook and upon returning to the main building, they were inducted as Junior Rangers by Karen and it was the sweetest “ceremony”. She truly represents the good in humanity and someone we were so happy to have involved with our children on the trip. She even told us they made her day, when she truly made ours. 🩵🏔️🛶 Thanks for all of the park rangers and volunteers that keep our national parks, their history and their excitement alive. - With the kindest of regards, the Acevedo & extended families"
