Reviews Summary

Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park is praised for its beautiful lake, well-maintained campsites, and extensive hiking trails, offering a peaceful escape. However, some visitors have reported negative experiences with park rangers and a perceived lack of excitement due to strict rules.

"This is a good sunny park for RVs with a large area more of a fairground and a beautiful lake. Unfortunately I did not get to experience any of this because just after I checked in, I made the horrible mistake of waiting for a couple to cross at the crosswalk. I rolled down my window and let them know they had the right of way. As I was about 20 foot away I edged forward slightly and the man came out of the middle of the cross walk, his wife was already on the other side, he screamed at me and then HIT my car window with his hand like he was going to punch me. I informed the rangers who did not take it seriously, insinuating that they did not believe me even though I showed them video of him crossing and coming towards my car window. Since they did not ask the lunatic to leave I left. Highly suggest that you avoid this place if this is law enforcement reaction to physical violence. Stop protecting people who assault women. He should immediately have been told to leave the campground."

Goldie Gibbon

"Well maintained campsites with lake view, quick 2 minute walk to get to lake as well. Restrooms have lighting and running water, spigots for water are located scattered across campsites as well (unsure if drinkable water or not)

Each campsite is allowed 2 cars to park next to the campsite, space inbetween campsites are a good distance and privacy is just fine, but you’ll definitely see people and be able to look over at what they’re doing"

Alex Le

"Really nice spot to camp. The bathroom are clean, smell fresh, and even has a heater to shower. There are plenty of wild life heard of deer, ducks, turkeys and just beautiful spot to walk around and hike.

The reason for 3 star review was customer service and the rangers were and are rude. We been camping to so many places and have always experienced nice, engaging, helpful customer service but it was not the case here.

Also for those not around the area its a new swimming lake and all lakes around."
