"The new Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary is a beautiful building with friendly, knowledgeable staff and volunteers located right on the riverbank. The bird watching is fantastic and the walking trails are well maintained. The building has a gift shop and a small area with exhibits and information about the sand hill cranes and the Platte River ecosystem. If you're in the area during the sand hill cranes migration, I highly recommend the bird blind guided tour experience; available at sunset and sunrise. The bird blinds are spacious even for large groups, have benches and a warming room, and (most importantly) a front row seat to see a variety of birds. I appreciate that the parking lot and building utilizes red lights at night to reduce disturbance to local wildlife."
