What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Bauman's Farm for its family-friendly atmosphere, seasonal activities like the pumpkin patch and holiday events, and the quality of goods in the farm store. However, some have expressed frustration with food service ending prematurely before the stated closing time, impacting their overall experience.
"I’ve never been to a food establishment that decided to stop serving food, 30 minutes before closing.
We brought our family to the farm today, and planed our day around being here and enjoying everything the admission has to offer.
$106.25 for five tickets, we were able to get cold apple cider and hot apple cider doughnuts in the farm store, another $20. The line was long but quick, there were three registers open.
The youngest member of our family enjoyed the playground and petting zoo.
We even managed to take a hay ride, and picked out five pumpkins, for $17.
The older kids went to the corn maze, while my husband and I took the baby for food.
I waited 30 minutes in line, the people in the group in front of me just kept adding more people to their group, the cashier said nothing to them; she did happily take their order though.
Finally it was my turn to order, I asked for a turkey pesto sandwich, a choice that I had to modify from the grilled chipotle sandwich, because the cashier told the folks in front of me that they were only serving cold food now, nothing on the griddle anymore.
She tells me that they are no longer serving any food. I was in total disbelief, it’s still 4:30, the store doesn’t close until 5. I ask her if she’s serious, she looks to the girl behind the slushie machine, who confirms and says that they aren’t going to get to leave on time as it is.
There’s a few different ways that the farm owners can remedy this, either pay your employees to stay late enough to accommodate your posted hours, place signage that indicates that you stop serving food before the posted hours, or hire more people to handle the volume.
In any case, I had to leave with a hungry family, I was so flustered by the interaction that I ended up not stopping to get the pie and other farm goodies we had planned on; after all, I had to leave hastily to find somewhere to eat.
At the end of the day, $143.25 were spent and right now, it just doesn’t feel like it was worth while."

"This is one of my favorite. Go to places whenever I need to just unwind. I love how they have a large shop where you can purchase all kinds of plants or if you’re interested in different kinds of snacks or different kinds of flavors you will absolutely find it here. Lots of very unique items that you will not find anywhere else. I am a huge fan of how they have everything Locally sourced here at this place. The animals are a very huge plus for me, because they help me get in touch with nature and feel like I am connecting. It is always an absolute delight to come here because I know that I will have a good time and that I will leave a lot happier. If you get a chance, definitely have lunch here as they’re sandwiches are excellent, and they additionally have a cider tasting area where you can Also, either get a small flight or purchase a drink. Don’t forget to also check out their bakery area. They have great desserts. This place really has it all. If you are around the area during October, they have a really big pumpkin patch, and other activities to do during that month. Make sure to add this stop to your list if you are ever in Woodburn."
