What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Longwood Park for its relaxing atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and family-friendly amenities like the playground and walking trails. It's a well-maintained community gem, though some note occasional litter and limited seating in certain areas.
"Lovely place to chill. Children can paddle in the water. Not many places to sit, but it was very relaxing."
Michael K.
"I’ve been going to this park since I was a child, and I’m still very impressed at how the City of Gainesville has kept up with this park! Besides the pavilions, gazebos, and Tennis Courts, there is also a fishing/boating pier for people to visit as well as renting Kayaks on the go which are accessible during the Spring/Summer seasons. The last planets of the City Solar System walk are located within this park with Pluto’s plaque still remaining despite no longer being a full planet since 2006. This is a great place to go out with family and friends whether to have a picnic, walk the dog, or go bird sightseeing."
