First outing of the summer - Ft Cobb State Park, Oklahoma
Haven't been there yet, but looking. Is this on the Golf Course side or the the other side of that little cove? Hope to get out for a bit right after the fourth, when things calm down in the campgrounds some.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Fort Cobb State Park for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and the expansive, enjoyable Fort Cobb Lake, ideal for fishing and boating. While many highlight the peaceful atmosphere and good camping amenities, some reviews point out issues with shower cleanliness and availability, as well as the need to bring your own firewood.
"Camp host across road but never there so no firewood unless bought at the country store. No water in either 4 showers at Deer Run. Wasps n flies everywhere. Feces on toilet n toilet floors n never cleaned 4 days we were there. Camp site not for seniors as everything far behind camper n chairs had to be drug from fire pit to charcoaler to table.
Lawns very well maintained. Very quiet n peaceful."

"Loved this place, I stayed in the primative tent sites on two occasions. Park is very well maintained, showers were great. Campsites ate spaced nicely on the catfish cove side. I stopped on the way out west and made a point to stay here on the way back."

"Very nice lake for picnicking, fishing, and camping. Interesting fact: 3 months ago, over 90K saugeye fingerlings were released into this lake. These fish are aggressive and can grow to catchable a size by the following spring season. The Ft Cobb lake limit is 6 saugeye/walleye at 14 inches or better. I didn't catch any saugeye, but I'm not going to turn down a free catfish dinner.
For RVers, At Sunset Cove, by the marina, there is only 1 full hookup site, #10, next to the camp host. Nice covered fishing pier, a big boat ramp, and golfing. The park is well maintained and looks really nice. Eagle's Nest campground is on the west shore with more full hookups. Overall, this is one of the best looking/maintained state parks in Oklahoma."
