"Nice cozy environment to catch some Northwestern basketball and volleyball games. It is a nice modern upscale environment compared to watching volleyball games at University of Illinois Huff Hall. We have been season tickets holders for various Northwestern sports for a few years and enjoy going to Welsh Ryan Arena and being able to park close to the arena. It is also located adjacent to the new Ryan Field football stadium they are currently building 2024/2025."

"Still a wonderful arena to watch a game, and the folks working in the stadium are always helpful and friendly. The first timers will get stumped if their ticket says the 200 sections and you need to go to the 3rd floor, but attendants will help you get to your seat. I've had seats in various parts of the stadium and the view was always great. The facility is always clean and well lit. The food and drink options are plentiful, and you will have to get it from the concession stands. As of 2024, the parking is a bit tricky since the renovation of the football stadium is still underway."

"If you like college basketball then this is the place for you. Northwestern Wildcats men's and women's basketball play here. I'm not sure if they use the facility for volleyball or other sports/events, you should check out their website for more information on that.
The venue is great, there isn't really a bad seat in the house. Concessions are concessions, nothing to write home to Mom about but you'll be covered if you get thirsty or want a snack. Restrooms are nice and clean and generally the atmosphere is great. The student section adds to the fun of the events and they can get loud.
This is a place where memories are made. I can still remember leaving a NU vs Brown basketball game in 1996 (they lost) to find the NU Rose bowl team just arriving back from the game. The celebration was huge even though they lost, it was epic as a young teenager.
Anyway, it's a great place to go with your buddies or family. Take your mom & dad to a basketball game. Invite your daughter to watch and be inspired by the woman's basketball team. Just go and have fun. Enjoy."
