What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Alpine Valley Resort garners positive reviews for its event hosting capabilities, particularly weddings, with staff and food receiving high marks. Winter sports enthusiasts appreciate the ski slopes, while golfers find the courses challenging and scenic. However, some visitors have had negative experiences with staff and course conditions, suggesting inconsistency.
"This is for the golf courses only! While short courses they play different with a bunch of greens up on hillsides and small greens. This is hilly and has some beautiful holes like 4, 5 and 9 on Summit and 12, 14, 17 on Meadows and 3, 4, and 5 on Sugar Creek. The hospitality was great and the greens crew was working hard. Good conditions on greens tee boxes, with drought conditions on fairways. Very fun to play."

"Short review: It was the best day & say yes to the event planning package. Just do it. 6 stars.
Long review:
Staff - bartenders, servers, coordinator (Allison) were kind, attentive & on top of it.
Food & drinks - LOTS of food options, (we did carrots/beans/mushroom risotto/chicken marsala/beef brisket/cornbread - lots of feedback of 'didn't know wedding food could be this good') they also made a beautiful charcuterie table for our cocktail hour & had loaves of bread all over the tables. It was a whole vibe. Drinks were also delicious.
Venue - The pavilion is a perfect no-matter-the-weather option that still felt outside. This was hugely important to us. The bar and bathrooms adjacent are just as new & clean.
Customer service example: Our cake (outside vendor, not Alpine) started collapsing almost as soon as it was delivered. Allison just handled it - got ahold of the baker & sent someone to pick up a back-up cake. She has a contingency plan for everything. She is diligent and fun and we love her."

"My husband and I recently got married at Alpine Valley and it was the perfect day! Throughout the planning process, Allison was very attentive and made sure no stone was left unturned. She was able to give great recommendations for vendors, as well as remind us of various details that had completely slipped our mind. Although the package doesn’t necessarily say it, you really do get a wedding planner through her abilities. I was able to text her day or night with any questions/thoughts/concerns and I’d always get a response. Two days before our wedding, Elkhorn got 6 inches of rain and we were unable to use the covered bridge for our ceremony, as planned. Before I even had time to panic, Allison had contacted me with multiple options planned out and people ready to work with whatever my preference was.
We had the ceremony right outside the pavilion and the reception inside the pavilion. The entire reception flowed perfectly from entry, to cake cutting, to speeches, meals, desserts, & late night snacks. The food staff is extremely professional and the food itself surpassed anything my husband and I could have imagined. I mean the food is INCREDIBLE. The setup/scenery is so pretty it felt like we barely even needed decor (big preference of mine). The bar is conveniently located right next to the pavilion and our guests were even able to get a drink before the wedding (it was HOT).
For pictures, we used the pool for details, ivy wall for the wedding party, a large tree/grassy area near the golf course for family photos, and then for just bride and groom we went out to hole 4 on the sugar creek course. The golf staff were extremely accommodating with when and where we wanted pictures taken. They were able to block off time/shut down the course for us. The bridal suite is as cute as can be and can comfortably hold as many or as little people as you would like. The guys were able to golf the morning before and we were able to setup games with the golf shop.
Having the hotel on site is also a huge perk to not have to worry about needing shuttles or booking separate accommodations. Being able to wake up one door down from the bridal suite made a busy morning so much easier. I truly cannot say enough good things about having our wedding at Alpine Valley and it was a day we will never forget."
