Carnivore Connection
"Goethe is a beautiful State Forest lots of hiking trails, horseback riding trails, seasonal hunting. Never crowded, very quiet, clean and well maintained. A chance to see natural scrub oak areas of Florida as well as a mixture of Cypress Swamps. Many of the areas in Goethe have some very nice sheltered picnic areas. The Giant Cypress tree is located within Goethe, not something you want to miss when visiting. Lots of wildlife, have seen a few alligators. I think the state forest is around 50 ,000 acres."

"Have only visited twice, for endurance rides, and the forest was beautiful. Plenty of natural water on the trails. Not a fan of limerock but reckon that's for horse carriages and such. Nice facilities but wish they would add a bathhouse."
