"Amazing wildlife on this canoe trail. Portage was easy. We took a video of this adorable otter family hunting and fishing.The tide was low, so we pulled the kayaks past the snowy plover area. It was a long day trip as we took our time. It was worth the effort!"

"Midweek August this parking lot was empty early morning. Supposed to be fee to park but pay envelopes missing although there was a way to pay with cell. We launched a kayak into the lake from the dock and paddled up the canoe trail. Overshot the entry to river as it was tucked into adjacent cove. Sheltered from wind, paddle was easy but with logs in water, sometimes took some wiggle to get over. Pretty and peaceful, we didn't go past the dam where boats have to be carried down walkway."
