What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the spectacular natural show of the Depoe Bay Spouting Horns, especially during high tides and King Tides, calling it mesmerizing and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. However, some reviews mention significant issues with property comfort, functionality, and customer service in rental units, suggesting the view alone may not compensate for these shortcomings.
"Spouting Horn Three: The living room furniture is extremely uncomfortable, offering little support and feeling almost like sitting directly on the floor. Its appearance is equally unappealing. The unit lacks adequate storage space for food, and the refrigerator doors are poorly positioned—reversing the swing direction would greatly improve functionality. The television is mounted above the sliding glass doors, an awkward and impractical placement. Additionally, the rug in the kitchen was found wet, which raises concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. While the balcony accommodates the unit’s occupancy of three guests, it is only furnished with two chairs, which is insufficient. Overall, the property’s only redeeming quality is the view, which does not compensate for the significant shortcomings in comfort and functionality. I would not recommend nor would we stay here again."

"Finally got to see it while the King Tides were blasting the rocks! Always awesome, but so much better when the ocean is furious."

"The home was amazing. We stayed here for my Birthday, the same weekend as the king Tides. The views were absolutely beautiful and the home was very cozy with almost everything you need to cook and enjoy your time in. So quiet even though it's right on 101, Close to EVERYTHING in Depoe Bay. Unfortunately it didn't have wifi while we were there or if it did the information was wrong. We came here to relax and enjoy our time in mostly, we were bummed that we couldn't watch any movies on Hulu or Netflix and the cable is very limited. We were not impressed by having to waiting 2 hours to get a call back from someone when the voicemail said they would be right over but apparently no one was available to meet us that day and they didn't let us know ahead of time. The place was 55 degrees when we arrived and the heater was blowing cold air, the remotes were melted by previous guest so trying to figure it out was fun, thank God for blankets and hoodies. Definitely recommend the home for a great weekend getaway as long as WiFi and possibly phone service arnt a requirement in your stay."
