"Beautiful park with verdant green slopes with Cheyenne Mountain in the background jutting up. Great if you like hiking and nature walks. You get a mix of prairie, scrub oak and montane forest with in a reasonable hike.
The park impressed me with little things, the bathrooms at the trailhead, the fact that all the trails are labeled with small sign along the trail and All the maps at the intersection face North! Also the information sign were in good condition and were relevant.
Staff at the visitor center were helpful and pointed me to good trails.
Only down side was the weather and the fact some trails were muddy and that stuck to your boots. I treated as a new experience and didn’t let the rain ruin my enjoyment."
