"This was our first time at this park. We really liked it. We especially took a ride on the tiny steam train that has been active since 1980. My son and I loved it. You walk around the pond. It only operates 2 days a year, I suggest you follow it and don't miss it :) The train fee is only 2 dollars. After the train ride, you can walk around, have a picnic in the picnic areas, and have a great time with your children in the park. If you want to take a ride with ponies, after a short walk, the horses and ponies will greet you at the museum. There is also a tiny shop selling souvenirs. I think it is a great alternative, especially for the weekend. If you are one of those who like fishing, you can fish in the lake. I am leaving some great photos below. Don't forget to look and like them :) 🙏🏽❤️"

"This review focuses to the walking trails for the portion of the park south of Sample Road. These trails offer a nice break from the traffic and urban sprawl of Broward County that surround the park. We like to visit on weekdays, where there is no fee to enter the park. The park is quite large and the walking trails are more than a mile in length if you take one of the longer loops. A frisbee golf course overlaps the trails and it is common to see frisbee enthusiasts throwing their spinning discs as you walk. Portions of the trails are shaded (mostly in the SW corner of the park), but most are in open sunlight. A large lake separates one of the longer trails from low rise condos along the western side of the park. It is common for breezy conditions as the wind picks up over the lake on this edge of the park. It's great on a warm day, but can get chilly at certain times of the year. A raised boardwalk that once crossed a small creek into a natural area in the SW corner of the park had been closed for many years. That natural area is no longer accessible from the trails and the boardwalk has fallen into disrepair. Other than that, the park is very well maintained. All other facilities are in working order. tradewinds Park has much more than trails. Numerous baseball and softball fields, a butterfly exhibit are on the south side and livestock and stables on the north. The north side of the park erects elaborate Christmas decorations (to drive through for a fee) during the holiday season as well."

"Tradewinds Fall Festival- The WORST entrance. Couldn't even get through at 1pm to make it to the event that ends at 3pm. We were in a SLOW and NON MOVING line for 45 minutes with a special needs daughter who needed to eat. And I am also 27 weeks pregnant and wasn't able to get snacks or go to the bathroom."
