"Compared to other piers like my local one (Dania) this pier seemed to be quite cleaner. The bait cutting stations were CLEAN and no rotting fish smell everywhere, indicating the people up here are mindful as well. Fishing price is doubled what you pay in Dania ($6 instead of $3) but it balances out and is a better value because parking is half the price here and it’s FREE for spectators whereas Dania charges $2 for that. Overall because of cleanliness and value I give this place a 5/5 . I didn’t see a lot of people catching fish but that just could’ve been the time of day. I will come back again with my gear."

"Spring Break - Beach is Beautiful, packed, parking garage $2.50/hr. is 1 block west. Sheriff's keep watch. Lucky Fish is a good place to hang, Pricey but good. $14 Margaritas. Lots of restaurants, coffee joints, rooftop music, the pier is a beautiful walk. Coming here since 1994, gets improved yearly. Miss the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival on the actual beach."
