What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Thousand Islands Arts Center for its high-quality fiber art exhibitions and engaging workshops, noting the friendly staff and inspiring artist studios. However, some special events, like craft festivals, may not always meet expectations for antique or collectible vendors.
"I taught here over the summer and absolutely loved it! The staff are super friendly and Marcia was a gem to work with! Will definitely be back!"

"This is specifically a review of the recent "Thousand Islands Arts, Crafts, Antiques and Collectibles festival" hosted by the Thousand Islands Arts Center at the Cerow Arena on August 9 - 10. This is NOT a review of the Arts Center itself. On that Saturday, we drove a considerable distance with the hope of finding some antiques and/or collectibles at this show, as the show title had implied. When we arrived there shortly after noon, we discovered that the arena was only 2/3 - 3/4 full with vendors. After walking the entire arena floor twice, it was clear that the "festival" consisted largely of vendors selling various hand crafted items along with some commercial vendors selling various products. As for antiques or collectibles, we saw only one woman with some antique jewelry for sale. We saw absolutely no vendors with ANY type of collectibles for sale. Add to that, admission was $6 per person. From our perspective, an overpriced and extremely disappointing show. We understand that while a show host may not exercise direct control over the types of items displayed by vendors at a show like this, one would reasonably expect to find the types of items mentioned in the show title. Based on this experience, this was our first and definitely last time attending this show."

"Very informative. Nice displays. Worth the stop to see the art. My mom makes rag rugs. I started doing Needle Felting. So we were both very interested in this museum."
