What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Thousand Islands Country Club for its comfortable rooms with kitchenettes and beautiful lakefront views, especially the sunrises. The on-site pub is a hit for its great food. Some golfers note that while the courses are challenging and unique, they aren't always perfectly manicured. The limited island dining and no outside coolers are minor drawbacks.
"Had a absolutely lovely 3 day stay at TICC. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Nice kitchenette area and full size table.
The only reason I'm not giving a 5 is I didn't have a chance to experience the pub on premises or tbe two golf courses. Always next time.
Enjoyed coffee and a beautiful sunrise daily from the private deck. Staff was helpful and courteous. My only suggestion is bring snacks. Shops/dining are limited on the island.
I'll definitely enjoy returning for future visits here."

"Have been coming to this course for many years from Canada.
The course ... is not finely manicured but has a variety of holes, blind shots, elevation and length. The rates ( for us) are quite good as we get a golf and condo pkg deal for 24 golfers.
The manager treats us like gold ! The restaurant ( lunches only) has great food.
Try to play the Old Course and the Lake Course too."
Richard Clark
"Love this place.
Visit for one weekend a year in July with 25-35 other guys and the only thing that disappoints is my talent.
Course staff are well organized and always pleasant.
Eric and Cindy in the bar/restaurant are second to none- always a great meal here!!"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
While the golf courses are the main attraction, families might find enjoyment in the scenic surroundings and the opportunity for leisurely walks. If your children are interested in golf, the courses offer a different kind of challenge. However, be aware that outside coolers are not allowed, so plan accordingly for drinks and snacks during any extended time on the course. The on-site restaurant is a convenient option for family meals, especially for lunch.
⛳ Golf Enthusiasts
Consider booking a golf and condo package, especially if traveling from afar, as these are often seen as excellent value. Be prepared for the policy against outside coolers and the potential absence of a beverage cart, so plan your hydration and snacks accordingly. The friendly staff and the scenic island setting add to the overall appeal for a golf-focused getaway.

Even without golfing, you might be able to enjoy the scenic lakefront views from designated areas or the restaurant. However, access to specific amenities might be limited without a golf booking or accommodation. Remember that outside coolers are not permitted, so if you're just visiting for a meal, plan accordingly.

Golfing Experience at TICC
When planning your golf day, remember that outside coolers are not permitted, and beverage cart service might be inconsistent. It's wise to be prepared with your own water and snacks, or plan to purchase them from the clubhouse. The staff, particularly in the pro shop and restaurant, are frequently commended for their pleasant and organized service, contributing positively to the overall golfing experience.
Whether you're a seasoned golfer or a casual player, the courses at TICC offer a memorable experience set against the backdrop of the beautiful Thousand Islands landscape. The blend of challenge and scenery makes it a popular choice for group outings and individual rounds.
Accommodations and Island Living
A significant highlight of the rooms is the private deck, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy beautiful lakefront views and, notably, stunning sunrises. This provides a serene and picturesque start to the day, enhancing the island getaway experience. However, it's important to note that dining and shopping options on the island are limited, so bringing your own snacks is a frequently suggested tip to ensure you have everything you need.
The staff at TICC are consistently praised for being helpful and courteous, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While the focus is often on the golf, the comfortable rooms and scenic setting make it a pleasant place to stay for a few days, whether you're there for the greens or simply to enjoy the tranquility of the Thousand Islands.
Dining Delights at the Club
While the restaurant is a draw, it's important to manage expectations regarding other dining options. The island itself has limited shops and dining establishments, making the club's restaurant a primary, and often exclusive, choice for meals. This makes the quality of the food and service at the club even more significant for guests.
For those staying in the accommodations, the kitchenettes offer a practical alternative for preparing meals or snacks. However, for a taste of what the club has to offer, making time for lunch at the pub is a highly recommended part of the Thousand Islands Country Club experience.
