What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Hooker Oak Park's family-friendly atmosphere, abundant shade, and dog-friendly policies. It's praised for its well-maintained facilities, including playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas, making it a safe and enjoyable community hub. Some minor dislikes include potential crowding during peak times and the general lack of on-site dining options.
"I love this park! It is extremely dog friendly, has lots of parking, shade, picnic tables, creek access via several private little alcove and "beaches." There is a really nice basketball court that has matting on it rather than concrete. There are 3 baseball fields, and 4 playgrounds from what I saw. The park is very well maintained by C.A.R.D. and there are no unhoused individuals camping out and is very safe for children. During the summer there are lots of day camps and children's activities that go on. Also the park is connected via walking and biking paths to middle park. There are also BBQ's open for regular use and BBQ's and areas that can be reserved. Playgrounds have fencing or are enclosed in some way, which is part of the provided safety, but they are also wheelchair/handicap accessible."

"The park is nicely designed. Large group picnic area, basketball courts, and children play area, and a large field with public restrooms nestled right in the middle but an intrusively and on the other end of the park is a children's play area you can park near so you don't have to go near the busier end. The park is also kept well ❤️🩹"

"Nice place. Ball fields look good. Decent bathrooms located in middle. Nice playground for kids."
