"The government shutdown didn't stop us from enjoying a beautiful cave! This cave tour was recommended by several locals and we are so glad we gave it a try. The approximately 1 hour tour was amazing. We went several hundred feet down into the cave and explored several large "rooms" within the formations. Our tour guide Rhonda was great and gave us lots of history about this specific cave. We didn't make reservations ahead of time. Just showed up and got a spot on the next tour (leave each hour on the hour). Highly recommend!"

"Definitely a great cave to see. Lots of beautiful formations and very interesting. There are 2 tours, the upper and lower. We went on the upper tour and immediately rebooked for the lower tour before we left. Each tour is about an hour. The guide for the upper didn't seem very knowledgeable and really couldn't answer questions well. She was very nice though.
For the lower tour, we had Aaron and he was amazing. He is a true caver and his passion for caves shines through. He could answer every question, and corrected some previous misinformation. He understands the geology of the area and had great stories of the cave and caving in general. He was great with the kids on the tour and we really enjoyed him.
The cave does not disappoint with formations and there was something new around every bend. The tour is pretty easy and the walking path is good. Not too many stairs to go up/down, definitely some but not extreme. The staff was very friendly and I like that you don't have to buy a ticket in advance and commit to a time, just show up and they'll get you on the next tour."

"The Crystal Onyx Cave in Kentucky was such an amazing experience. The cave is stunning full of beautiful crystal formations and amazing natural details. The tour guide was great and even showed us something really cool: he used a UV light on the rocks, then turned off all the lights in the cave so it was completely dark. When he removed the light, the rocks glowed for a few seconds, it was incredible to see! The whole experience felt magical and was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend visiting!"
