"This is where Lincoln’s family moved when he was about two years-old, when his family lost a deed battle at his birthplace. They lived here for just a few years.
It’s a very beautiful location and the nearby creek, Knob Creek, is lovely. The museum used to be a tavern that was built in the late 1920’s or early 30’s. The cabin on the location was built from timbers that was a home of some neighbors of the Lincolns.
There was a cool park ranger that was taking down Old Glory for the evening. I helped him fold the flag and we had a real nice chat. I enjoyed my visit a lot."

"Wonderful place to explore and learn about our nation’s most influential leaders and president. Lincoln stated that his first memories were of this farm.. the large building is actually a tavern that was constructed much later in order to keep the memory of Lincoln alive. Lincoln lived there until he was about seven years old.

We did not take the hike that is available.,, but our pup, Memphis Belle, enjoyed learning about Honest Abe.. lol."

"Neighbored next to Hodgenville, we find ourselves visiting from Elizabethtown often. I have utilized the parks public facilities from educational historical trips with my elementary aged daughter, cute outdoorsy dates, photo shoots, mountain biking, beautiful hiking and scenery/views. They do an amazing job keeping these areas in tip top shape. If you’ve never been, here’s you a good reason to be intentional about getting over to learn ya some Lincoln.

Oh and a definitely. Make sure u stop by:

#LincolnsGeneralStore (hidden gem over at the cabin rental office.) check it out.

#theSweetShop for some if the best locally sourced items like honey, jams, preserves, etc. as well as Sweet Desserts for Days! Chocolate dipped this fried that fudge this cookie that, and ice cream, shakes and other frozen goodies!!!

Or if it’s more your vibe, hit our favorite local CHRISTIAN OWNED, e-town & hodgenville coffee shop. #VIBEcoFFee #ChildhoodRoots"
